It started on a high when Doosra claimed a Gr.3 in just his third start; Gold Standard enhanced his Guineas prospects in the Gr.2 Selangor Cup and Green Pepper justified her reputation as a budding sprint queen with a smashing Gardenia/Magnolia double. Finally, the month ended on a supreme high at Turffontein where lionhearted Master Sabina became a rare dual winner of the Gr.1 Sansui Summer Cup and stable companion Master Switch making it an enviable one-three for Varsfontein-breds.
